Rev. Dr. Paul Womack

Currently a mobilized United States Army Reserve Chaplain, Rev. Womack has spent most of the last two years on active duty, serving both stateside and in Iraq. He will begin his ministry at Trinity Church on July 1, 2005, replacing the current senior pastor, the Rev. Paul Robinson, who is retiring.

Rev. Womack and his wife, Rev. Natalie Hanson, District Superintendent of the Niagara Frontier District, are the parents of Bethany (Nashville, Tennessee), Catherine (Rochester) and Anna, who is a middle school student. Rev. Womack, a native of Tennessee, has served United Methodist congregations in the Western New York area since 1975. He was most recently, prior to activation with the Reserves, co-pastor of the Williamsville United Methodist Church. He also served the Covenant United Methodist Church in Rochester and served as the Rochester Community Minister.

Active in interfaith and ecumenical work in Rochester, he served as chair of the Interfaith Forum, the Commission on Jewish-Christian Relations, the Christian-Muslim Dialogue, and was president of the Greater Rochester Community of Churches. He holds the rank of Colonel in the United States Army Reserve and serves as the Staff Chaplain for the 98th Division (Institutional Training). He is also a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.

He received his BA from Middle Tennessee State University, his Master of Divinity from the Divinity School at Vanderbilt, a Master of Arts in Religious Study at Canisius and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Colgate Rochester Divinity School.
