Katherine Tyler Scott

Katherine Tyler Scott has been the president of Trustee Leadership Development, Inc. since its founding 13 years ago. Specializing in organizational and leadership development, she is a consultant/trainer, workshop leader, and speaker who works with human service organizations, businesses, and churches.

Prior to her work with TLD, Scott developed and directed the Lilly Endowment Leadership Education Program and also developed leadership training programs and resources for the National Association for Community Leadership and the National Episcopal Church. Scott holds a B.S. and an M.S.W. from Indiana University, as well as an honorary doctorate in public service from Christian Theological Seminary. She serves on numerous local and national boards and committees. Katherine is the author of Creating Caring & Capable Boards: Reclaiming the Passion for Active Trusteeship, a book published in 2001 by Jossey-Bass, as well as Preparing Leaders and Nurturing Trustees, The Inner Work of the Leader, and Cultivating Trusteeship. She is the co-author of Stories From the Circle and contributing author of Spirit at Work.
