Bari Weiss is a writer and editor for The New York Times opinion section, where she writes about culture and politics. Recently, her columns have covered rising anti-Semitism, the #MeToo movement, and free speech on college campuses.
Weiss joined the Times in 2017; previously, she was an op-ed editor and an associate book review editor at The Wall Street Journal, where she also was a Bartley Fellow in 2007 before being a Dorot Fellow in Jerusalem from 2007-2008. For two years, she was a senior editor at Tablet, the online magazine of Jewish news, politics, and culture, where she edited the site's political and news coverage. She's written for Ha'aretz, the Forward, and the New York Sun. She regularly appears on shows like “Morning Joe” and “Real Time with Bill Maher,” where she talks politics and culture.
